About the experience

This is a long-distance hiking route where we'll connect communities and follow the Yuna River, with refreshing stops along the way for a dip.

It's an approximately 20 km hike, during which we cross the Yuna River around 39 times, visit very remote communities, and revel in nature. We begin in San José de Ocoa and conclude in Monseñor Noel.

This route is for adventurers. Participants should have good mobility and the stamina for long walks. There isn't much elevation in the first 10 km, but it then features several ascents and descents, and due to its length, it is categorized as medium-high difficulty.

Perfect Route for Pre-Peak Training
- Start of the Adventure: The hike begins in San José de Ocoa.
- First Phase (Approx. 10 km): Initial warm-up stretch. Low-elevation terrain, ideal for setting the training pace.
- Route Dynamics: Continuous hiking along the Yuna River and through very remote communities to connect with the natural environment.
- Water Adventure: Completing approximately 39 river crossings along the route, taking strategic breaks for refreshing dips.
- Second Phase (Approx. 10 km): More technically demanding stretch. The terrain changes and presents several ascents and descents that will test endurance.
- Culmination: Arrival at the final point of the route in Monseñor Nouel.
